What the service is
Noctie is published by Noctie AB, a Swedish company named in the site’s copyright notice (2021-2026), in its privacy policy and as the seller of the mobile apps on the App Store. The service has you play an AI that the site describes as “trained on billions of games between humans and carefully fine-tuned over several years”, tuned from beginner (about 400) to super-grandmaster level (about 2800 Elo) after a calibration game, and it turns the player’s mistakes into spaced-repetition flashcards. It runs on the web, iOS and Android, the iOS app having been published since March 2023. The business model is a single subscription at €14 a month or €96 a year after a seven-day free trial; the permanent free tier has been withdrawn, the pricing page reading “Free Tier: None”.
