Product changelog
Every line below is a change that actually shipped to production, dated on the day it went live. Nothing here is announced in advance: this log only describes what is already running.
It keeps only what a user can observe — a feature, a published piece of content, a visible fix — and leaves internal plumbing aside. A month with nothing visible would therefore not appear: the regularity you see is the regularity of the releases, not the regularity of a promise.
Latest release listed: September 1, 2026.
September 2026
- Content
Comparison of chess improvement services: a hub, the scoring method, and the first detailed service reviews, with every score backed by a public piece of evidence.
- Improvement
Adaptive difficulty: the rating actually served now feeds back into the setting, and a position taken from your own games is announced as such.
August 2026
- New
The free allowance rises from 20 to 40 analysed games, and over-the-board games no longer count against it.
- New
Over-the-board identities can be attached to your account and merged, and annotated Lichess studies are finally read on import.
- Improvement
On mobile, the board now takes the full width of the screen.
- New
Exercises: a one-move mode and new positions across every family.
- Improvement
Defensive alertness: only genuinely costly threats are kept; they are shown on the board, and they wait for the player.
- Fix
Glossary: an address whose capitalisation differs no longer returns a not-found page, it redirects to the canonical address.
- Improvement
Import: when Chess.com has not published your latest games yet, the message explains the archive delay instead of reporting a failure.
- New
Adaptive exercise difficulty: a difficulty centre per account and per family, targeting roughly 80% success, remembered from one session to the next.
- New
Exercises: larger banks, defence broken down by sub-type, a "good" or "doubtful" vote on every position, unlimited free access, and a review of your own misses.
- Improvement
Fightback run: the close button explicitly abandons the run, and a session left aside expires after thirty minutes.
- New
Global email opt-out: a stored registry, a confirmation page in French and English, and a mandatory check before any send.
- Improvement
Variation tree: the main line can be starred in one click.
- New
Periodic email review: the review picks up the goal you set, links are short and readable, and reactivation is set from My plan and My account.
- Content
Observatory of amateur mistakes: the autumn 2026 edition is online, with its charts, its close-ups and its datasets.
- Content
Model-game write-ups, internal linking across the content, and new blog posts.
- New
Club space: a member’s individual data is opened to the club’s teaching staff.
July 2026
- New
Chosen repertoire: a repertoire proposal, then line-by-line mastery tracking.
- New
Training rating visible to the coach and to the club director, along with tracking of fightbacks prepared and won.
- New
Motivation and leaderboards: rush leaderboards inside the club, and a fightback mode against a rising opponent, clocks included.
- New
Universal repertoire import: a PGN file of variations becomes a repertoire, with its annotations, arrows and comments.
- New
Endgames: step-by-step guidance that re-teaches the technique whenever it is missed.
- Content
Nine new opening pages, and French move notation fixed at the source across the whole corpus.
- New
Coach material library: documents and positions filed, shared with a student, and readable from their studies.

A product tour video on the home page, in French and in English.

Coach and club space: a student file, comments at three scopes, homework organised into sessions, a student view, and a "My coach" page.
- Improvement
Leaving theory is now tolerant of transpositions, and a review mode is available on opening lines.
- Improvement
Opening lines re-sourced under the popularity rule: the reply you are shown is the one players actually play.
- New
The game count on an opening card opens the exact list of games behind it, for that card’s colour.
- New
Scoresheet scanner: a photo of your sheet becomes a PGN, with doubtful moves offered for correction before the analysis runs.
- New
Endgames: five exercise types, a faceted hub, and grading backed by endgame tablebases.
- New
Self-service account deletion, with nobody to ask, as required by the GDPR.
- Improvement
Analysing a pasted PGN is unified with analysing an imported game, and the error message names the offending move.

The Learn page becomes a path: lessons, exercises and weaknesses assembled and ordered for your level.
- New
Blindfold visualisation and deep calculation exercises, plus a prophylaxis mode: "what is the opponent threatening?".
June 2026
