What the service is

Chessalyz.ai is published by Chessalyz, Inc. (copyright 2026; no address published) and was founded by FIDE Master and coach Dalton Perrine together with engineer Varun Kumar; Dalton Perrine writes on his Chess.com blog that the project started in February 2025, and a Medium post by Varun Kumar dated 16 September 2025 presents the service as "free to try". The site imports games from Chess.com, Lichess or PGN files, spots the critical moments of each game and asks guided questions instead of showing engine lines; it builds an opening repertoire from the player’s own games (personal explorer, red marker where preparation ended), turns critical positions into spaced-repetition flashcards, offers an adaptive skills trainer (tactics, openings, endgames, defence) and classrooms for coaches. The Basic plan is free (5 analyses a month, 10 flashcards and 10 puzzles a day, 50 repertoire positions); the pricing page cannot be read without JavaScript, but the comparison grid records Silver at $4.99, Gold at $9.99 and Platinum at $25 a month, non-refundable and auto-renewing subscriptions. Chessalyz offers no courses, no online play and no artificial opponent; it names no recurring weaknesses, has no tracking by period, and exists in English only and on the web only.
