Movsesian, Sergei – Morozevich, Alexander

2751 2009 · White wins (resignation, time or agreement)

Classical Caro-Kann, 2009: Movsesian (2751) against Morozevich (2771). After 3...dxe4 and 4...Bf5, White pushed h4-h5, traded bishops on d3 and castled queenside, while Black castled kingside — opposite kings, opposite plans. The engine found no turning point at all: no decisive blunder, no clear missed chance from either side. The accuracy figures back that up, 92% of at least good moves for White, 100% for Black, with a single White inaccuracy. The 1-0 result therefore came without a collapse, out of a long fight where both players followed their setups. The lesson: a clean game can still be lost — playing good moves is not the same as scoring the point.
