A classical King’s Indian from 2015: Kasimdzhanov (2712) against Mista (2597). White pushed d4-d5, Black answered with the …Nc5 and …a5 plan, and the position opened sharply after 12.Bxc5 dxc5 and 14.Nxe5. From there both sides kept finding the required moves: 94% of White’s moves were at least good, 88% of Black’s, and the engine flags no turning point at all. After the queens came off with 48.Qxd6+ Rxd6, a rook ending remained in which White picked off c5 and b3 without ever converting. The draw was agreed after 69.Rd6+. The takeaway: a game can stay tense from start to finish and still end level, simply because neither player made the decisive error.
