2772 2021 · White wins (resignation, time or agreement)

A 2021 Italian Game between So (2772) and Aronian (2782) that turns sharp early: 9.Bxf7+ Kxf7 and 11.Ne5+ Ke6 drag the black king into the open, and after 13.Qxf8 Rxf8 it becomes a long technical endgame. White plays clean chess — 100% of moves at least good, against 88% for Black — and pushes the kingside pawns methodically. Black is already lost when 45...Kc6 misses a chance and moves the evaluation from −6.1 to −8.2. So slips once with 49.h6, from +11.3 to +9.7, but 49...Kf8 gives it all back, from −9.7 to −15.0, and 52.g7+ ends it. The takeaway: in a losing endgame, one loose king move widens the gap again.
