2651 2022 · White wins (resignation, time or agreement)

A Modern Defence from 2022: Abdusattorov (2651) traded queens as early as move 8 against Swiercz (2656), steering the game into a long rook-and-bishop endgame where every tempo mattered. Accuracy stayed high on both sides — 92% for White, 85% for Black — yet the endgame still swung. With 55.Bd2 White let a chance slip, the evaluation moving from +0.1 to +2.6. Swiercz gave ground back with 57...Rb2 (from −2.9 to −1.0), then lost the thread entirely with 71...Be1, which flipped the evaluation from −0.2 to +5.2; 72.Bxe1 ended matters. The takeaway: in endgames like this, one loose move erases dozens of accurate ones.
