2487 2025 · Black wins (resignation, time or agreement)
Pirc Defence, 2025: Bernadskiy (2487) allows the early central trade after 6...Nxe4, and the game turns into slow positional labour against Tabatabaei (2681). The engine flags no turning point at all — nobody hands over the advantage in a single move; everything comes from accumulation. Black plays 90% at least-good moves against White’s 86%, and you can see the gap on the board: the black rooks take the b-file, then the second rank with ...Ra2, finally ...Rf1. White spends the endgame shuffling from Kg2 to Kh2 with no counterplay. The result is 0-1. The lesson: a game can be lost without a clear blunder, simply because one side keeps posing problems.
