Wojtaszek (2727) versus Ivanchuk (2710), 2016: a Budapest Gambit that dries out fast. After 28.Qb4 Qxb4 only bishops and pawns remain, and White’s bishop goes hunting with 34.Bxb7. The turning point comes twice on move 38: 38.Bb7 is a missed chance that swings the evaluation from −2.2 to +2.1, and 38...Kd7 immediately returns the favour, from −2.1 to +2.2. Wojtaszek keeps the initiative from there, marches his king to 48.Ke5 and wins. Accuracy: 84% for White, 77% for Black.
