2670 2022 · White wins (resignation, time or agreement)
Sicilian Alapin, 2022: Moussard (2670) against Bacrot (2648), both sides finding at least "good" moves 90 % of the time. Everything happens on move thirty-seven. First 37.Rb7, a mistake that drops the evaluation from −1.2 to −2.8 and hands Black a winning position. Then 37...Qa1 throws it away: the evaluation swings from +2.8 to −15.0 from White’s point of view, and 38.Qc7+ Ke7 ends it 1-0. The club takeaway: one imprecise queen move can erase thirty moves of accumulated advantage. High overall precision says nothing about the single move that decides the game.
