2736 2022 · White wins (resignation, time or agreement)
In 2022, Nakamura (2736) and Rapport (2763) play an Exchange Queen’s Gambit in which White castles long and advances h3 and g4. The engine flags no turning point at all: nothing flips in a single move, everything is decided by accumulation. White is at 100 % of moves rated good or better, Black at 90 %, with just one mistake in the counts. After the queens come off, Nakamura collects g6 and then h7, and later runs the e-pawn, which Black only stops by giving up his own b-pawn. The rook ending ends 1-0. The lesson: thirty moves of unbroken accuracy convert a game without any fireworks.
